In the 20's with many new things became fads very quickly because of radios becoming a household item, with a new source of steady information a lot of things became popular like the idea of the conk hairdo most likely spreading because a radio station spread the idea that that hairdo made you cool or flagpole sitting which was started by stuntman alvin kelly who was the first to do the stunt and his story spread through america making it a popular thing to do for many people and probably the one that was the most impactful was the flapper the flapper brought many new freedoms for women of the 20's like the double standard for women and the idea the women can't do many of the things that men did, because of flappers the social gap between males and females began to become decrease.

With the radio becoming a common item in the household many families came together to listen to music, sports and news broadcasts and dance to the jazz music that played on the radio. But what the radio did that really changed america was bring information that usually took days or weeks to receive in a matter of two or three seconds and because of that brought the beginnings of the information age because now information flowed much faster from the radio than the newspaper. Another main innovation is the idea that having fun was normal due to the radio bringing more entertainment choices readily available in the house with that idea came a society that wanted to have fun and party.
